On July 3, 2019 (Wednesday), a briefing session on the council’s activities for the first half of the year was held at a conference room in the main building of Korea University. Representing the school headquarters, President Chung Jin Taek, Vice President Yoo Jin Hee, Dean of Office of Academic Affairs Jeong Seung Hwan, and Dean of Office of Student Affairs Kim Jae Jin attended the meeting. The chairman of the council, Min Young, gave a keynote presentation on the council's history, functions and the work system. Yang Yun Jae, council’s research professor, made a presentation on the development of Korea University Diversity Index and the upcoming survey of the current status of diversity. Professor Yoon Tae Woong spoke about the need for diversity education and plans to develop educational programs. Lastly, Professor Kim Chae Yeon made a presentation on the key aspects of the organizational culture of Korea University. President Chung Jin Taek made various suggestions for the council activities, emphasizing the need to enhance diversity on campus. Following the briefing session, the second general meeting of the council members was held to discuss the plans for the second half of the year, particularly workshop plans during the summer break.
