Hello,

I hope you all respect each other and dream of a brighter future on our lively campus, which has been a cherished destination for a long time.

In January 2019, Korea University launched the "Diversity Council"

with the aim of "building a creative academic community and a healthy university culture with an understanding and respect for diversity."

In 2022, it issued the 'Korea University Diversity Statement.'

To bring about the necessary changes in a diversity-based environment, we must begin with a thorough assessment by our members.

Therefore, we have planned to conduct regular diversity research every other year.

This research aims not only to examine the current state of diversity at KU but also to enhance long-term awareness of diversity.

Through the Diversity Opinion Surveys conducted in 2019 and 2021,

we were able to assess and observe the changes in diversity at Korea University, as perceived by faculty, staff, undergraduate students, and graduate students.

We are now launching our third survey.

If you could spare 5 minutes to participate in this survey (which consists of approximately 40 questions),

we will strive to incorporate your valuable opinions into Korea University's policies, improving the diversity environment and promoting an inclusive culture.

Thank you in advance for your participation.

Best regards,

June 1, 2023

Jun-Ah Song, Chair, Diversity Council
